Cantucci is a Mandelbrot and Julia fractal generator. You navigate the mandelbrot set by zooming and panning and have the option of generating the Julia fractal corresponding to the center point of the current view of the mandelbrot set.

StepTree is a 3D file system visualizer. It draws on ideas from the last 15 or so years of visualization research. The basic concept is that of a Tree-Map extended into three dimensions. The Tree-Map concept was first introduced in the early nineties by Ben Shneiderman (at the University of Maryland Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory). In StepTree the size of files and directories is mapped to area in the visualization. Thus the area of a directory in the visualization is an aggregate of the sizes of all its descendants (subdirectories and files).
